Slow Sunday Stitching 9 October 2022

Happy Sunday. 30 Days to go! Life has been good and peaceful here on our 5 Acres! It is only when we have to go out in the BIG BAD world that reality hits. So we are healthy and wise at this time. Big Blessings!

I am excited because I have finished the 4 Bunny Rabbit blocks for Dawn Heese’s In My Garden and down to 2 block borders on My Surprise Quilt.

Here are my Bunny Rabbits.

    1. Thank you Gretchen. Yes it is fun and boy the next border is a challenge – just because there are so many blocks. I had hoped to be finished with it by today but yesterday was a phone day and a FaceTime with Kathy! All fun! Hugs

  1. I think I’ve asked you before (but my memory is awful!) do you hand applique the bunnies? So cute. Surprise quilt just gets prettier and prettier. Hope it has cooled off some for you. It only reached 70 here yesterday, and it is 55 this morning – yay! Still no rain though. 😦

    1. Hand Applique – traditional no glue, basting, etc. Just trace the pattern on background fabric, and pin the pieces while I needleturn applique. Thank you on the SQ. I would love to have it completed this week. We hit 100 a couple of days, but it is low humidity. NO RAIN! We hover over the 60 mark – maybe this weekend it will be a little cooler! Hugs.

    1. Thank you Kate! Now only 5 more large blocks which only have stems and flowers – easy to do – I still have more work on the Surprise but would love to have it done and ready to go to the quilter soon. Hugs and thank you for commenting.

    1. Thank you Deb! We had a slight break, but now 97 again and in the 70’s in the morning. We are expecting a cool front tonight and windy tomorrow, and this week-end another cool front that will cool us off again.
