It is a quiet Sunday here in Hotsville Texas! I thought that the heat would settle down, but no the humidity had to come in the door along with the heat! Today is 103, so far! I have switched to a morning walk and boy is it a hard thing after 3 months of the indoor exercise bike, to a nice walk in the early AM to release the Endorphins. After 4 days of walking again, it is beginning to become easier adjusting to the heat/humidity and using my walking muscles again! So onward and upward – when I hurt I walk and appear to be much happier because I feel better! Yea for that one.
I am not working on any hand work, but I did finish Block 1 of In My Garden this week. We are awaiting for the new Recliners to arrive Tuesday – the glider is not the thing for me to try to sit and do handwork. No wonder we switched to Recliners about 12 years ago! I also need to get with the knitting program for some more dish cloths! Hurry up Tuesday!

Today I am working on My Surprise Quilt in Blues! Continuing on with another border. Since it is a surprise quilt, I will showcase the next border when complete! This is where I left off last week.

I am really having fun on the development of this Medallion Quilt. So far, I am doing great with the measurements for borders. Hoping it continues on until the final border.
I really am missing Kathy’s email notifications on Slow Sunday Stitching and her saying posts. I hope she gets a link set up soon. I will have to make a mental note each day to check her blog. Maybe I will just leave it up in Safari so as to not forget!
Have a wonderful week, and we are supposed to be in for some more much needed rain this week.
Hugs, Nanette

“Hotsville Texas” – lol! Man you guys really are having the heat. We have had some relief, although it has gotten into the 90s the past couple days. I hope you get some cooler weather soon. I can’t wait to see your next border on Surprise Quilt. You are so lucky to be able to knit! I do crochet but love the look of knit items. Take care my friend!
