Greetings, again!!! I am really starting to get on top of my current projects, a Wedding Ring quilt, 3 applique projects, and my Cross Stitch project. Now if I get bored with one of the evening projects I can jump from one to another. I joined the Churn Dash SAL by Chookyblue as my first Squirrel!!! Mine blocks are 6” and I am using Aunt Gracie fat quarters from my stash. The background fabric is Michael Miller’s Couture fabric line – a fantastic fabric, feels like silk!
The Churn Dash SAL will run 4 months making 9” blocks, but because I am making 6” blocks I will be making 4 blocks of each color for a total of 20 blocks each month finishing with a total number of 80 blocks when the SAL is over. Probably enough for 2 small quilts or one very large quilt! Depends on the setting. But they are so much fun who cares!

Have a great week!
Hugs, Nanette

I really thought that I would be finished sooner in preparing the applique projects. Today the 4 blocks will be ready to go and I can start working on a pieced quilt! I really need to fire up the long arm first, but who is watching anyway! LOL. Hugs

Thank you Deb! I am not sure how I will set it, but that won’t be until September! I also love the traditional – more fun than just slapping squares together! Cool is staying in the A/C at 72!!! Hugs

Churn dashes are fun aren’t they! Are you cutting out each one as you go or are you cutting it all at once?

I have a lot started a few years back that are 3″ along with some stars at 3″. Some day I will make more and put them together! I cut out 5 sets at a time – easy – and they go together fast! I selected enough of the fat quarters with small prints and go from their!

Hi Nanette! You have organized yourself into some projects, I think. I am a huge fan of the churn dash block and yours just make me smile. I know they are going to come together into a fantastic quilt, and I’m looking to seeing it! {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne

Thx Roseanne! I am glad that I started the SAL – it is nice to just sit and sew something easy to change the pace! Will have In the Garden (4 blocks) ready to start on applique today. BUT that is for the evening, so I will start on that Wedding Ring quilt today or tomorrow. Hugs (of course another pattern may pull me away from that decision! LOL)
