SURPRISE ALL! This is a quick down and fast post for Jen’s Monthly Color Challenge!
I was going to join in the fun last year (2020 Monthly Color Challenge) but did not make it – so I am now participating in both the 2020 and 2021 Monthly Color Challenge.
Here is my 2020 January Block:
For 2021 I am making 2 of the 6″ blocks. Nice to work on simple blocks during the month! Only 1 little goof and I have no idea how it happened – Anyone see it?
After I posted the blocks for 2021, I realized I had done something incorrectly. This picture shows where I made the error.
So being the stupid perfectionist, I just had to figure out what I had done and found the answer. When I squared each block down to 3 1/2″, I did not pay attention too the outer seams. Big mistake! So I remade them.
Think I should have named my Blog “The Forever Obsessive Quilter”! LOL

If I pull my magnifying glass out I might see a fabric direction different than the others… that purple is lovely though with the lavender.

I like the purple pinwheels! It wouldn’t bother me at all that things the same color didn’t match perfectly. LOL

I like how you are doing the 2020 Color Challenge along with the 2021 Color Challenge. Maybe I’ll think about it, too. I’ve petered out in years past, but I’m determined to keep up with the 2021 Challenge this year!

Watching those seams when trimming can really trip you up. The blocks turned out great, I like your eggplant color.
