Slow Sunday Stitching – End of 2020 – Yea!

Greetings from a windy pretty day in South Texas, but of course, not for long – rain and another cold front by Tuesday.  I am happy for the cooler weather!

I have 2 hand projects I am working on concurrently and one pieced project (OMIGOSH).

Hand Quilting:  This one is just an 18” x 18” Something Different To Do  to practice my hand quilting since I have not hand quilted in 2 or 3 years.

Hand Applique:  I am making slow progress on the  Stars Around the Garden (SAG) Medallion!   I have 2 daisies (on the end of each stem) and a Rose at the top!   Slowly but surely it will come together.   I have finished all the blocks, they are patiently waiting for the old Lady to get with the hand applique every night not just every now and then!  LOL

The pieced project is OMIGOSH and so far I have completed 4 more blocks this week making it a total of 10 blocks completed!

We had a nice day on Christmas but I am so glad the holidays are over with.  For years we went to Arizona for the winter and I so miss it.  I do not like to stay home for Thanksgiving or Christmas, but New Years Eve I want to be home!

Here is wishing all are well and looking forward to another New Year where we can all start over again.  ME?  I will be working on my UFO list and try to catch up!

Have a wonderful week!

Hugs, Nanette

  1. Lovely work. How big is the quilted design? Nice work. Your OMG is wonderful. Patience for sure. Let’s hope 2021 is fabulous and more open and healthy.

    1. Thank you so much Kathy – a little late in replying – but trying to stay focused and discipline on the computer. I love OMG but also doing it in short spurts so I do not get burned out! Happy New Year to you also – Mine is great!
