Welcome to To Do Tuesday! This is the first time this year I set goals and finished 2 and worked on 2! It is always so nice to start a brand new year even if I am 8 months late!
A week ago I joined up for the To-Do Tuesday Linky Party! Here were my goals:
- Finish my Easy Breezy. DONE! Both quilt tops are complete (Inspire of Medicare, Amazon, and Doctor Billing Office)
- Finish Mary Brown’s 2 blocks to complete all four corners of the quilt. Well, I worked on 2 of the blocks will that count?
- Begin work on 3030 quilt by Gay at Sentimental Stitches.
- Dust the Studio – Halfway done! At least I am more organized and my cutting is cleared off and the Design Wall Clean.
I now have 2 new quilts that are going to the “to be quilted” rack! Introducing Pukeko Swamp and Tuis and Pohutakawa. The link provides you the background on the names of the quilts.
Pukeko Swamp Quilt

A little progress on Mary Brown remaining blocks for the quilt corners.
And here is Goal Number 4.
I am so happy with my 2 quilts for 2020! They were easy but still time consuming. If you notice, I have figured out how to put my name on my quilts now that I put on my Blog! I called Apple this morning and it was the quickest call I have ever made to them and the guy was great! All in about 6 minutes!
For Next week – 8 thru 15 September my goals are:
- Continue to work on Mary Brown blocks
- Begin working on my 3030 quilt
- I am contemplating working on other UFOs or BOMs but am not sure, so I will just list the 2 goals.
Have a great week and see you next week on the To-Do Linky Party.

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE!!!!
It appears that I will be working on the 3030 quilt, but only after the Fat Quarter Shop ships my bolt of Bella Solids (9900-60) for my the background fabric. And I am certain that I will not be getting 14 blocks done by next week (of course the applique will take longer).

Good luck getting 14 blocks made this week. The center medallion might take you a couple of days and this week’s block we make 24 of them. One of the blocks is a tiny dresdan. I am a lot of blocks behind and only have 10 made so far. I love the colours using the Thirties prints.

Well, I did not count that applique center! LOL – I tend to be a bit of a dreamer! But it might get me going! 24 of the same block? I still need to select the colors I want to use in the blocks (30’s but some of the colors I do not want to use). Have a great week.

Can you help a friend find a sweet surrender pattern or better even a kit.

That pattern is out of print. You need to be talking to the people in Australia. I do not have the pattern any more.

Hi Nanette! Two finishes! Are they both the same pattern with totally different looks and a vibe. I love the border on each of them – it really anchors them and pulls out that color in the piecing. You have had a lot on your plate all year – so Happy New Year to you. You’re off to a good start! Good luck with those 14 blocks – that’s a lot but not too much to get done if you are able to concentrate on it. {{Hugs}} Thanks for linking up this week. ~smile~ Roseanne

They are both the same block. The 14 blocks are so out of here! Change in fabric selection and ordered more Bella Solids to blend better with the Judy Rothermel fabrics! Well…. maybe better focus tomorrow! LOL

Your awesome! Great work space – I am so envious – I have no table or design wall 😦 Keep that mojo running and enjoy!!!!!

Oh Sharon, we are so spoiled. We have an 800 sq foot Studio – I have two large rooms and Clay has 2 medium size rooms. Doesn’t count the house. I did have to take part of one room for stash overflow. Wish I had a daughter to leave all of this to. Guess it will be an estate sale!~. Hugs

Wow, your Easy Breezy blocks look so different because of using the same fabric through out. I like the difference in orientation. So, the great chat with Apple that quickly showed you how to put words on your photos? Was that using Photos? I’d love to know how to do that too. Can you share? Enjoy your week.

Congrats on all the progress! The green border on T&P really makes the red pop. Even if you don’t get to check off everything on the list, that progress is happening counts too.

Thank you Kathy – sorry about the late response! It feels like we are back in our regular life again! I love both of those quilts. I never thought I would make a quilt out of the 2 yards of each fabric – I just did not know what to do with them. The Easy Breezy block really helped me!
