HQAL 28 July 2019

Greetings. Summer is back with a vengeance here in South Texas. But only 57 days until Autumn! Yea.

I finished my Sashiko block!

and have Enduring Legacy loaded and ready to quilt. It took me over 3 hours to load this 80”x 80” puppy! I think I like small quilts!!! The fabric is horrible and hoping that I do not have a big mess when finished!

Have a wonderful weekend.

Check out the following wonderful quilters who participate in Kathy’s Hand Quilt Along!

Kathy, Margaret, Emma, Tracy, Deb, Susan, Nanette, Edith, Sharon, Karrin, Gretchen and Kathi

  1. Glad you’ve got Enduring Love in the frame, just don’t over do quilting, You don’t need to quilt it all in one day. Sashiko looks lovely, of course it does, it’s blue & white isn’t it? Happy Stitching!

  2. I tell you that was a chore but nice to have it ready to quilt. SLOWLY!

The fabric is Moda Marbles dark blue with the white thread. Fun to do!

Thank you Gretchen and Happy Birthday !

    1. Thank you Karrin – I am sure we are headed for high heat indexes this week. The temp has not reached 100, but it has reached 99. Guess that counts for hot! LOL. Hope you will be in the A/C tomorrow! Hugs

    1. WELL, that is a good question. Sashiko is so relaxing! I will continue to look at it on the Design wall and it will either become a Medallion in a quilt, or a wall hanging! Decision time! Have a great day

  3. Nanette, how many quilts have you completely finished so far this year? It must be coming close to 5 or 6? That pile of finished flimsies must be shrinking rapidly this year! You must feel so good to have some of these long standing projects completely finished. I know I was buoyed to put the final stitch in Stars Over Baltimore last week. Really got me motivated! XXOO

    1. I have either quilted or completed into flimsy’s a total of 14 – check out the 2019 tab – I updated it! I am tired now! LOL. I still have a lot to quilt, with 6 going to be sent out for custom work later in the year! I think I have about 6 or so to hand quilt so I need to get with the program don’t I! Most of the quilts needed to just be finished or quilted. I have a few more that really need to be completed before I start another new one, but you know me!

You did such a beautiful job on your Stars Over Baltimore!!!!! Hugs
